Krakatoa SB - an enhancement of the renowned Krakatoa shaped charge - is a highly versatile, modular, user-filled charge container system with three projectile variants for defensive, demolition and EOD operations:
- Explosively Formed Projectile (EFP)
- Gladius Fragmenting Projectile
- Jet Forming Cone (JFC)
Powerful performance with low NEQ (500g PE)
Multiple projectile types - EFP, JFC and fragmenting
Modular, user-filled
Effective at close range or with stand-off

Krakatoa SB EFP
The EFP is used for long-range destruction of machinery, structures, and materials. It has a shallow dish-shaped charge liner that is filled with approximately 500g of plastic explosive.
This projectile can produce a hole of approximately 40mm in diameter in 35mm mild steel with a standoff of 6 – 50 metres.
Part No. KR2901
NSN 1385-99-585-9757
Krakatoa SB Gladius
The Gladius projectile can destroy thin-skinned targets such as aircraft, helicopters, or factory/IT equipment. It is filled with 480 steel projectiles and designed to produce a linear pattern, hitting the target from a 2 – 50 metres stand-off.
Fill the charge with 350g of plastic explosive and aim it at the centre of the target.
Part No. KR2902
NSN 1385-99-959-6125
Krakatoa SB JFC
The JFC has a conical-shaped charge liner, which, when filled with plastic explosive, can penetrate 150mm mild steel with a hole diameter of approximately 18mm.
Part No. KR2903
NSN 1385-99-287-3501
