Krakatoa SB, an enhanced version of the renowned Krakatoa shaped charge, is a highly versatile, modular, user-filled charge container system that offers three projectile variants for defensive, demolition and EOD operations:
- Explosively Formed Projectile (EFP)
- Gladius Fragmenting Projectile
- Jet Forming Cone (JFC)
Powerful performance with low NEQ (500g PE)
Multiple projectile types - EFP, JFC and fragmenting
Modular, user-filled
Effective at close range or with stand-off

Krakatoa SB EFP

The EFP destroys machinery, structures, and materials from a long range. It features a shallow, dish-shaped charge liner containing approximately 500 grams of plastic explosive.
This projectile can produce a hole approximately 40mm in diameter in 35mm mild steel with a standoff of 6-50 metres.

Krakatoa SB Gladius

The Gladius fragmenting projectile is capable of destroying thin-skinned targets, including aircraft, helicopters, and various types of factory and IT equipment. It contains 480 steel projectiles and is designed to create a linear pattern of impact, effectively striking targets from a stand-off distance of 2 to 50 metres.
Load the charge with 350g of plastic explosive and aim it at the center of the target.

Krakatoa SB JFC

The JFC features a conical-shaped charge liner that, when filled with plastic explosive, can penetrate 150 mm of mild steel, creating a hole with an approximate diameter of 18 mm.
Part No. KR2903
NSN 1385-99-287-3501
